Customs data: PV and lithium battery exports in May "increased in volume and decreased in price"
According to reports, on June 18, the General Administration of Customs updated the monthly statistics for May, showing that in May, the export of solar cells and lithium batteries continued to "increase in volume and fall in prices", and the export of electric passenger cars and household appliances remained prosperous.

Data showed that in May, 590 million solar cells were exported, an increase of 24.1% year-on-year, and the export value was US$2.827 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 38.7%. Since the beginning of this year, the export volume of solar cells has increased significantly, with the cumulative export volume in the first five months increasing by 22.8% year-on-year, and the cumulative export value decreasing by 33.3% year-on-year.

The export of lithium batteries also continued the previous trend of increasing volume and falling prices. In May, 320 million lithium-ion batteries were exported, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year, and the export value was US$4.636 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 16.1%; the cumulative export volume in the first five months increased by 4% year-on-year, and the cumulative export value decreased by 17.4% year-on-year.
