Germany added 3.4GW of photovoltaic capacity in the second quarter
According to data recently released by the German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur), Germany installed 3.4GW of photovoltaic systems in the second quarter of 2024, a decrease of 10.5% compared with 3.8GW in the same period last year. Among them, the installed capacity of photovoltaic systems in January was 1.47GW, 1.14GW in February, and 1.1GW in March.

Germany has set a goal of installing 215GW of photovoltaic systems by 2030, so it needs to increase photovoltaic systems by 22GW each year. As of the end of June 2024, Germany has installed a total of 90.2GW of photovoltaic systems. According to data released by the German Federal Network Agency at the end of March, to achieve this goal, Germany needs to install 1587MW of photovoltaic system capacity per month.
