How On-Grid Solar Systems Work and Their Benefits
An on-grid solar system, also known as a grid-tied solar system, is a solar power setup connected to the local utility grid. It includes solar panels, an inverter, and a net meter. Solar panels capture sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity. The inverter then converts DC into alternating current (AC), which is used to power your home or business. Any excess energy generated is sent back to the grid, earning you credits through a process called net metering.
