Multi-busbar, half-cell, overlapping pv modules can be called the explosive products of the photovoltaic market this year. Unlike the battery slice method, the module technology can be combined to fight combo punches, helping the module power to 400W+.
Multi-busbar technology has been used for a long time. It improves the optical utilization of the battery, reduces the electrical loss of the packaged solar panels and increases the power of the solar panel, and at the same time reduces the consumption of silver paste on the battery sheet. As early as 2015, some companies introduced multi-busbar pv modules at the exhibition. This year, the direction of SNEC is to superimpose half-cell technology on multi-busbar technology.
The half-cell technology uses a laser scriber to cut the cell slice into two half-cell solar cells slices of the same size in a direction perpendicular to the main grid line of the solar cell, and then packages it into solar panels. The half-cell technology can greatly increase the power of the module, and its power can be increased by about 5 ~ 10W compared with the full-cell module with the same number of solar cells.
To a certain extent, the multi-busbar+ half cell can be regarded as a natural combination, and the MBB half cell module can still have all the advantages of the MBB full cell pv module, which can further increase the module power and reduce material consumption. According to estimates, the power gain of superimposed half-cell technology on PERC solar cell can reach 5 ~ 10W, and the power gain of superimposed MBB technology on PERC + half-cell solar cells can be expanded to a maximum of 15W.
The overlapping solar technology interconnects the cell slices with conductive adhesive, eliminating the need for solder tape welding, reducing shading area and wire loss, saving space, packaging 13% more cells than conventional 60-type modules, and increasing the power by more than 20W.
The Patching technology refers to the use of special welding methods to achieve the reduction of the chip spacing and the interconnection of the triangular welding tape, which has reached the ultimate utilization rate of solar cells and other materials. Compared with shingles, there is no patent dispute over tile technology, and it can even catch shingles in terms of efficiency. Tile is one of the promising technologies in the industry. Some people in the industry predicted that patching modules will become the mainstream product in the next 2-3 years.
