Germany now has over 3 million solar power generation systems
The German Solar Industry Association (BSW Solar) announced on May 30th that Germany has installed over 3 million solar power generation systems, with a total photovoltaic installed capacity of over 70 gigawatts. Through this, the country's solar photovoltaic power generation can meet more than 10% of its electricity demand.

According to calculations from the European Energy Exchange, on May 27th, Germany's solar power generation reached a new record of 40919 megawatts. Carsten Koernig, Executive Director of BSW, stated that the demand for solar technology has sharply increased due to the energy crisis and improved framework conditions.

It is reported that in the first quarter of 2023, the number of photovoltaic power generation devices installed by private households far exceeded twice that of the same period last year, especially in private households. The goal of the German federal government is to achieve a photovoltaic installed capacity of 215 gigawatts by 2030. According to data from the Federal Network Agency, a German energy regulatory agency, an increase of 1562 megawatts per month is estimated in a linear manner.

Thomas Grigoleit, Director of Energy, Construction, and Environmental Technology at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment in Germany, stated that Germany's transition to carbon neutral energy infrastructure will bring huge market opportunities for domestic and international companies.

The German Federal Agency for Foreign Trade and Investment is the agency of the German Federal Government for foreign trade and inward investment. This institution provides consultation and support for foreign companies entering the German market, and assists companies established in Germany in entering foreign markets.
