Solar energy enters every household in Iraq after signing projects with China and others
In recent years, Iraq has actively improved its power supply issues by signing solar power generation projects with China, the United Arab Emirates, and others. Iraq relies on Iran for about one-third of its electricity supply, and in addition to directly importing electricity from Iran, it also relies on importing Iranian natural gas for power generation. However, due to the sanctions imposed by the United States on Iran's oil and gas sectors, Iraqi people have become victims of US sanctions against other countries.
Moreover, before the outbreak of the Iraq War in 2003, Iraq's oil industry was completely nationalized. Ten years after the Iraq War, Iraq's oil industry was basically completely privatized, led by foreign companies. The largest Western oil companies, such as ExxonMobil, Chevron, BP, and Shell, have all established factories in Iraq and earned huge profits.
