Japanese architect Toyo Ito's solar stadium in Taiwan's completed. The roof of the stadium is covered by 8,844 solar panels. The stadium is located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to coincide with the opening of the World Games in July this year.

"World Games venue" can accommodate 55,000 spectators, costing 150 million US dollars building. The largest solar stadium in the world will have 14,155 square meters of roof.  It can make electric generating 1.14 GWh per year, enough to power up to 80% of the surrounding area. Can meet the surrounding 80% of the electricity needs.
