Rapid development of photovoltaic power generation in Austria
On October 12th, the Austrian Standard reported that Austria's new energy industry continues to expand, with the scale of photovoltaic power generation continuously expanding, and wind power generation shrinking. According to a monitoring report released by the Austrian energy regulatory agency E-Control on Thursday, as of the end of 2022, the installed capacity of Aoke renewable energy has increased by 2141 megawatts compared to 2020, but the power generation has decreased by 3611 gigawatts per hour. Due to a decrease in electricity consumption, the share of renewable energy in the overall electricity structure is currently stable at around 78%. To achieve the goal of 100% electricity supply from renewable energy by 2030, renewable energy generation needs to increase by 27 terawatt hours per year. At present, photovoltaic power generation is above the established target, while wind power is below the target level due to only adding 211 megawatts of power generation in the previous year.
