According to the survey report of 9th, October 2017 from German institute of quality management DGQ and German market research institute “Innofact” says the situation has changed.

80% of Germans think “Made in China” is the most important competitor of “Made in Germany”. 54% agreed that, the competitors from China are stepping up the pace of going beyond German brands and German companies' innovation capabilities.

What fields are better of “Made in China” ? Respondents believe that the most prominent is the field “digital and information technology". 64% of people believe that China has surpassed Germany in this field.The second is the electric vehicle field. As for the outstanding of “Made in Germany” , respondents selected three aspects: one is the German enterprises more investment in R & D work better; the second is still the machinery and equipment both “Made in Germany”; the third is the infrastructure. However,they believe that in these fields, China is narrowing the gap with Germany. The report says both”Made in China” and “Made in Germany” have larger potential development, especially China. About 3/4 of respondents believe that the quality of "Made in China" will be better in 20 years, and "Made in Germany" will also burst out larger potential under pressure.
