Industrialization Technology Of HJT Solar Cell From 24% To 24.5% in 2021

The average efficiency of the HJT battery production line has reached 24%, and it is expected to increase the average efficiency of the production line to 24.5% in 2021. HJT solar cell's efficiency breakthrough faces many technological improvements.

The preparation of nanocrystalline silicon films is bound to slow down the coating speed and increase equipment costs. Companies must find a balance between solar cell efficiency and cost.

A large number of CVD technologies for preparing HJT solar cells have yet to be developed industrially.

Heterojunction efficiency has great potential for improvement: the short and medium term efficiency target is 25%.

The 1.5% efficiency difference is the critical point where HJT solar cell is less cost-effective than PERC. PERC is expected to reach an efficiency level of 23.5% through technical optimization, which means that HJT must achieve at least 25% efficiency before it is expected to achieve a higher level of PERC efficiency. While optimizing, it achieves a price-performance surpassing PERC. Light injection annealing, MBB, and RPD coating are three key technologies that have been explored in the industry to support the improvement of HJT efficiency to 24%. From the perspective of the latest industrialization efficiency, HJT's industrialization efficiency improvement is progressing smoothly. The efficiency target of this year and next year is 24%-24.5%, and the efficiency target of 25% in the short and medium term is worth looking forward to.
