FirstSolar: PV module sales to reach 11.4GW in 2023
FirstSolar recently released its annual report for 2023, and its net sales for 2023 increased by $699 million to more than $3.3 billion, up 27% year-over-year.
In 2023, Solar module sales amounted to 11.4GW, and it is expected that module sales will further increase to 15.6-16.3GW in 2024, realizing a 33%-39% CAGR, and the confidence in the growth of the performance stems from the contracted inventory of 80.1GW as of the end of February 2024, which is expected to be further increased to 15.6-16.3GW.
In addition, FirstSolar expects its global production capacity to exceed 21GW by 2024, and with the commissioning of the Louisiana plant by the end of 2025, it will further exceed 25GW by the end of 2026, including 14GW in the U.S. It also expects net sales in 2024 to reach $4.4-4.6 billion.
