On April 20, the Silicon Industry Branch announced the latest silicon material transaction price!
The data shows that this week, the price range of China's single crystal re-feeding material is 249,000-259,000 RMB / ton, and the average transaction price rose to RMB 253,300/ ton, a week-on-week increase of 0.72%; the price range of single crystal dense material is 247,000-257,000 RMB/ton, the average transaction price rose to RMB 250,900/ton, a week-on-week increase of 0.72%.
After 14 consecutive weeks of price increases, the highest transaction price of single crystal re-feeding has reached 259,000 RMB / ton, approaching the 260,000 RMB / ton mark, and it has not stopped rising at all.
It is obvious that although enterprises in different downstream links have been reducing costs through technology and management, it is difficult to absorb the pressure of rising silicon materials, and it is inevitable that module prices will rise again. The only suspense is, where will component prices rise?
According to public statistics, the average winning price of modules from January to March this year was 1.854 RMB/W, which is basically the same as that at the end of 2021. However, after entering April, the unit price of photovoltaic modules has exceeded 1.9 RMB/W.
According to the calculation of the production capacity planning of the silicon material enterprises, after entering the second quarter, the new production capacity will be expected to alleviate the unbalanced situation of the silicon material. However, China has entered a "peak season" in the first quarter, which should have been a "low season", and the newly installed capacity has increased significantly year-on-year. The increasing procurement demand of silicon wafer companies has pushed up the price of silicon materials.
If the terminal demand continues to maintain a substantial growth, it is not surprising that the unit price of modules will exceed 2.0 RMB/W at the end of the second quarter.
